Following on from Lichtenstein’s tradition, I’ve used hard flat, vivid colour and hand painted Benday dots in creating this still life. Strong black outlines support simplified shapes in true Pop Art tradition. Humour is created in the profile and features of the fish smiling, with one being upside down, while a sense of time is introduced by two fallen flower petals.
