Peter Parker received a massive bite from an irradiated spider which gave him super powers. Using the powers initially to become a T.v. superstar he realized that great power also entails great responsibility. He has super reflexes and speed combined with superhuman strength combined with an inbuilt “spider-sense” that warns him of personal danger.
