There is excitement building in the town of Walsall in the West Midlands. Their football team is due to play in the EFL League Two Division Play-Off against Wimbledon FC on Bank Holiday Monday May 26th. Walsall FC has experienced a season of two halves. In the time leading up to Christmas the team played brilliantly leading the division but after Christmas they had few wins and lost their chance of automatic promotion. In recent weeks they have returned to more winning ways and their fans are hoping for success for a return to EFL Division One on Monday. Walsall FC is also known as the ‘Saddlers’, a reference to the town’s long association with the leather industry.
